ODCD is able to make small grants towards the cost of installing a hearing loop system in a church and can also occasionally provide other grants towards work with deaf and hard of hearing children and young people or for other purposes that support ODCD’s work for the deaf and hard of hearing.
ODCD will consider giving a grant towards the cost of installing a loop system in a church building. Enquiries should be made initially to the Pastoral, Finance and Administrative Officer.
An application for a grant should be supported by full details of the proposed system and three contractors’ estimates for the work. If we are able to help, this will confirmed in writing and payment made by cheque.
Occasionally, we are able to give small grant towards activities that support the deaf and hard of hearing. If you would like to enquire about the possibility of ODCD providing some support, please contact the Pastoral, Finance and Administrative Officer in the first instance.

Grants are only one of the ways in which ODCD supports the deaf and hard of hearing in the Diocese. Our work also includes making visits, organising services and events and providing pastoral care and support. As a charity existing on limited funds, we are always grateful for donations to help us expand our work.
